To the 44 People Who Paid a Whole Three Dollars to See Me Play My Guitar and Sing Last Night:
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Words can not express what it felt like to stand in the Plough and Stars, the bar that I grew up going to, a place that I always dreamed of being good enough to play at… and to look out onto a sea of people who had actually paid to see me play music.
I hope that I didn’t suck too much.
I thought that the show went well. Nobody booed. Nobody threw rotten produce. It was great to hear my music with both drums and a bassist. My friends Alicia and Sarah sang a couple of songs and they were amazing. Oh, and the blistering kazoo solo on my version of “Like a Prayer” from one mister Ed “Moose” Savage was pretty fucking awesome.
If anybody is in the neighborhood, I’ll be playing at the Vineyard Christian Church sometime after 7pm on Saturday as part of the NoCA All Arts Open Studios. It will just be a few songs, so don’t go out of your way. But, if you’re around, it’s always nice to see friendly faces.
