I saw Tapes N Tapes with a couple of friends last night. It was a good show, but they ended up starting super late. Doors opened at 8pm and the show was supposed to start at 9. The first band didn’t go on until almost 10pm. We ended up missing the last part of the Tapes N Tapes set because we took the MBTA to get there and we had no desire to miss the last train. I know that public transit here in Boston is better than in a lot of places, but it still seems fundamentally broken to me. Nobody should have to choose between missing the end of a show and having to take an expensive cab ride home. Don’t get me started on the fact that the T stops running before last call.

The lead singer of the opening band last night was wearing a poncho that very well might have been crocheted by my Nana. He also looked legitimately 12 years old. My Mom says that everyone under the age of 40 looks 12, but if I was a bouncer I would be asking this dude for two forms of ID.

If your band is big enough to be opening up for Tapes N Tape on tour, you probably need a better website than a Myspace page.

I accidentally broke my website earlier this week when I upgraded my theme. Downgrading to an older version fixed the problem. And then I played with the layout a little bit, because why the hell not. I think it looks better, but I’m not completely satisfied with it. I like that my blog has a clean, un-cluttered look. And I made enough changes to the theme that it doesn’t look too cookie-cutter. I just wish that it had a little more pizazz.

I’m meeting Kristian for lunch today. At the mall. Perhaps we’ll go to the food court. It would make me feel like I was in HS again, except I told him that he needs to buy me a heating pad for my bum knee. Maybe I’ll have him pick up some Metamucil while I’m at it.

I heartily agree with your beefs about the T. What would be so wrong with running an hour past curfew? Wouldn’t that be alarmingly logical?
A crocheted snuggie would be AWESOME.
I understand that they need to do maintenance at night. But couldn’t they start an hour or so later?
