Merry Merry

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope that this day is filled with fun times with friends and family. Good food, pleasant memories, lots of laughter. And, if Santa brings you some decent loot, that wouldn’t be too bad!

Kristian and I are enjoying a quiet morning at home before the onrush of family members later today. Well, I am enjoying a quiet moment at home while Kristian frantically wraps my Christmas present. You wrap all the gifts for someone and they get so helpless…. Sheesh. I can hear him down in the basement and it sounds like he’s wrestling with a bear and not with wrapping paper and scotch tape.

Perhaps I should check on him? I’m sure he’s fine….

Last night, we spent Christmas Eve with Kristian’s family (they do the whole Scandinavian, celebrate on Christmas Eve thing). It was fun, except for the part when Kristian’s Mom asked me if I was a good kisser. My stunned silence followed my nervous laughter was taken as a sign that he is not a good kisser (I would have told her she’s wrong, but I wasn’t about to say anything on the matter!). I took the question as a sign that it was time to go home. I think that’s a decent social cue, don’t you? “It’s time to go home when your hostess asks you about her son’s sexual prowess.” (well, not in so many words)

Merry Christmas, everyone!
