I was expecting a fairly low-key weekend, but it ended up being extra fun. Here are a few highlights:
Friday night, Kristian and I attended our friend Dave’s surprise birthday party, which featured an Angry Birds cake and two hours of bowling. Somewhere, there is a photo comparison of my belly and a bowling ball. The belly is definitely bigger, but it was candlepin bowling. I’d like to think I’m still smaller than the ten pin version.

I have no pictures from Saturday, but I got my hair done, finished up a bunch of reading from class, and we had a fantastic dinner with a few friends. Although, let’s be honest, I mostly lay on the couch and complained about how sore I was from bowling.
Sunday was brunch day and it lived up to all of my expectations. Not only were there waffles, our hosts were kind enough to provide us with a room full of kittens. Surprise kitten brunch!

Did I mention that there were waffles? Because there were waffles. And I ate so many of them. Please don’t tell my doctor, she likes to tell me how proud she is of my eating habits.

Oh, yeah, and at some point in the last week or so, my belly decided to make its presence known.

Perhaps this seems like a low-key weekend to you, but I don’t exactly lead an exciting life these days. This, for me, passes as eventful. But, c’mon. Kittens!
