Christmas in Pictures

I normally take a lot more pictures at Christmas, but this year I concentrated a little more on enjoying everybody’s company. I think part of my motivation stemmed from the fact that we were about half the size of our normal Christmas gathering. When the house is jam packed with people, it’s easier to fade into the background with my camera. With fewer people around, I would have been the weird aunt hiding behind a big ass lens.

I did, however, get a few decent shots.

Operation "Send Christmas Cards Out Early" was a complete success this year. We recieved more cards than ever before. I started having to get creative about how to display them all.

Kristian was not charmed.

I made whoopie pies and then asked my nephew to help me coat them in candy cane sprinkles.

This is what happens when you ask small children to help you bake.

My niece and Gracie are the exact same height. Which gives Gracie easy access for face licking. Ruby yelled "gross!" but they ended up being good buddies.

It wouldn't be a family holiday if someone didn't fall asleep on the couch.

I gave my sister a photo book that I'd made of all the pictures I've taken of Ruby. Ruby loved it! Every time they turned the page, she would yell "That's Ruby!" like it was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to her.

One of the best parts of Christmas is watching the adults get into playing with the kids' toys.

We gave Ruby a wheely bug for Christmas. I wish they made them in adult sizes.
