I don’t like to be that person who apologizes for not posting on their blog because a) it’s boring and 2) how many of you really care how often I post? I’m self absorbed at times, but never that self absorbed. But, hey, when you don’t write anything for two and a half weeks, I suppose some explanations are in order.
Explanation? I’ve been ridonculously busy. Also? Tired. So very tired.
I started my new job (which is awesome, I’m loving it so much) and then Kristian and I went to California for six days to hang out with my sister, Allison, and her husband, Dustin. I ran a 10k while I was out there and I managed to finish the race without injuring myself dramatically. I know that you’re all on your way to get party supplies for the pity party that you want to throw me. Wah wah wah. I have a fantastic new job and I had to hang out in California. Someone call a waaaaaaaahmbulance before I expire from happy.
If the worst thing about your life is that you have to be at work at 8am instead of 9am, you’re doing something right. I don’t claim to have my shit completely together, but I think I’ve done pretty well by myself lately.
So, to recap:
- New job = awesome
- Sleep = elusive
- California = warm, sunny and filled with delicious restaurants
- Running = not so painful
- Wedding planning = slightly overwhelming but still manageable
I took a bunch of photos in CA. I’ve decided to dedicate Tuesday night to post-processing them and writing up a recap of our trip. Somebody, please, hold me to this.

I apologize practically every time I blog. It’s getting bad. I think I need to refocus on posts that are more than just 12 of 12. :-p
