Oops.

Hi, my name is Hope and I’m an idiot (hi Hope!).

I was supposed to “audition” to be a Kaplan tutor tonight and, instead, I managed to get lost in the city that I grew up in and show up five minutes late. Just late enough for them to not let me into the audition. Just late enough for me to feel like the world’s biggest idiot. I’m rescheduled for a couple weeks from now, but I have a feeling that they probably checked off the boxes in their files next to “flaky” and “poor time management.”

Honestly, I can’t say that I would blame them. I’m so pissed at myself for not being more careful about the street address.

There aren’t any videos of him eating cheeseburgers, but I do have a picture somewhere of him drinking whiskey and smoking a cigarette in his underwear at my sister’s wedding last summer.
