Wow. Just wow.
What can you say about a night where you share a bill with one of your musical heroes (Roger Miller from Mission of Burma) and get interviewed by a musical critic who you grew up reading (Jim Sullivan)?
I believe that my smile speaks for itself:
Ok, I suppose that I should probably say more than that.
My set went really well. I made some good jokes, got people laughing. Despite it being cold and flu season, my voice held up. I got lots of compliments on my singing.
Jim Sullivan is going to be writing something about the event for the Boston Phoenix next week. If I get some press, I will make sure to link it up here. He also asked for a copy of my CD (which I will be sending to him ASAP), so that he can review it for his website.
This makes me realize that I really need to record another CD at some point. I mean, it’s only been like 6 or 7 years.
It was a great night.
yay and congratulations! I’m sorry I missed it, but you’d best keep us updated on when you have shows, and I will surely show up sometime. =)
whoohoo! congrats lady!
