Take Two

So, my gross stupidity ended up costing us about $400. That’s fairly ouch but also not nearly as bad as it could have been. Someday, we’ll look back on this and laugh. But we’re not quite there yet.

My new flight is at 7pm tonight. I plan on arriving at least two hours early. And even then I’m still going to be a ball of nerves.

The only silver lining in an otherwise frustrating and expensive storm cloud is that it gave me a night to spend hanging out at home (something that I haven’t done in over a week since I went straight from our vacation to getting ready for a gig) and I got to plant my own garden. I know that Kristian was worried about killing my seedlings and now he only has to water them.

Behold:

It’s not much to look at right now, but it should be a beautiful garden bed of zinnias, dahlias and sunflowers when I get back.

Or, you know, Kristian could forget to water them and wind up killing them anyways.

I basically just paid the universe $400 for a gardener (namely, me).
