I had my flight time mixed up.
By about three hours.
In a completely impractical direction.
Namely, I was going to need to break the sound barrier in order to get to the airport in time. And my taxi didn’t show up. I might have had a chance to make it if they had showed up on time.
So, I will be taking a later flight. I’m on hold with the airline to find out just how much my stupidity is going to cost me. Right now, it’s looking like this is the costliest mistake of my entire life. And I’ve made some expensive fucking mistakes.
To say that I feel like an idiot right would be the understatement of the year.
**Update** BA apparently charges you a first-born child plus a couple of thousand dollars to make changes within seven days of your flight. It ended up being cheaper to cancel outright and buy a new ticket. I’m leaving tomorrow night. I still feel vaguely ill.
