Kristian and I went out for Halloween last night. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday because it combines three of my loves, the color orange; dressing up in costume and free candy.
Kristian and I went as an English Butler and a French Maid. You know, because the butler always did it… and he’s always in cahoots with the maid.

As you can see, I upheld my sacred duty as a twenty-something female to wear something short and low-cut.
Everyone in our little family loved my costume. Kristian loved it because of the aforementioned shortness and low-cutedness. Sophie loved it because my feather duster made a handy dandy cat toy.

Sophie: “I don’t know what kind of bird that is, but I’m going to kill it. Also, since when am I been 3 feet tall?”
We went to a couple of Halloween parties, because we are popular and people wanted to party with us in our fabulous costumes. Actually, that’s a lie… we invited ourselves to the first party and everyone and their llama was invited to the second. Still, I like to think that we’re popular.
Both parties were a lot of fun. And I have the pictures to prove it.

Erin has nice cookies. Also, those pastries look pretty tasty.

What to do when you’re dressed like a maid and there are fake cobwebs…? Answer: dust.

Terrance and Lianne as a very blurry iPod commercial.
I don’t have any pictures of the second party, but it was crazy. What with the cop punching the ballerina and the cowboy dancing on the table. (Did I mention that I love Halloween?!?) Kristian and I hung out for awhile but decided that it was time to leave because “it ain’t over until Keith Richards hits you in the head with his guitar.” Well, Keith Richards conked me but good. So, I took off my heels and hobbled home.
I’m slightly bruised and my feet are sore, but it sure was fun. I probably shouldn’t wear the french maid costume on Tuesday, when the trick or treaters get here… but I’m looking forward to getting dressed up again!
