So, for those of you who actually read my site, you may have noticed that it’s been down. Since last Wednesday. Perhaps I am the only person that noticed this. In which case, well, on the internet nobody can hear you scream (if nobody reads your blog) (this is the part where you all leave me comments and tell me that you read my site all the time and that it was like someone cancelled Christmas that is was down).
Basically what happened was this: my webhosting company went and got itself hacked. Somebody went and ran a script that deleted every single file that had the word index in it. And my hosting company didn’t have backups. Well, they claim that they did… but that the script killed them.What I want to know is…. how do you write a script so good that it can jump out of the server, run across the room and then chew up backup tapes?!? They weren’t very good backups if they were right there on the server. If someone does something nasty to gnxonline… I swear to god it wasn’t me. Also, I need an alibi. Also, the name of a better webhosting company.
I’ve been on vacation, so I’m just now getting home to where I had all of my local backups.
Speaking of vacation… no vacation is complete if it doesn’t include a grainy camera phone picture of you drinking a pink drink with a little umbrella in it.
There are also excellent photos of the world’s most adorable baby in an awesome lobster costume (purchased by the world’s greatest aunt!). But, you will just have to wait until I finish plotting my revenge.

I too am really really tired of GNX and plan to switch when this year is up. Eric just switched to Dreamhost and is beyond thrilled – he also had a coupon code to get $50 off of a year’s hosting, so ask him about it.
