I bought the hype and went shopping this past tax-free weekend. It was a brilliant move, really. What better way to spend a Sunday when you’re already not feeling well than to go to the mall and spend a lot of time in close proximity with your fellow americans in search of a deal? I saved myself like a whole ten dollars!
My main purchase was a new Samsung SCH-a990. It has a 3.2 megapixel digital camera. That’s so many megapixels! Admit it, you’re jealous.
My other purchase was a new bathing suit, because my suit from last year is stretched out to the point that swimming too fast makes it kindof, ummm, come off. Probably not the best suit to wear on a family vacation. “Mom, why does Hope keep showing us her butt?”
I’ve always really hated seeing pictures of me in a bikini. Even at my skinniest, I always had belly pudge. These days, I’m feeling pretty good about myself. But, I still hate seeing what I look like in a bathing suit.
So, I figured that I would buy myself a nice one-piece. The spandex could pull in the pudge and I could see pictures and not want to delete them all. Unfortunately, the stores conspired against me. Apparently, if you are not a size 16, they don’t make one pieces in your size. The only ones they had were the size of two of me. Now those would definitely be falling off in the water and causing an “incident.”
So, I bought the bikini that makes my boobs look the biggest. Hopefully nobody will look down. 😛
