I Feel That I May Swoon

Wow.

I don’t know if I’ve all of a sudden developed allergies that I never knew about or if I have the mother of all head colds… but suddenly I am so congested that it’s making me dizzy.

I was walking home and all of a sudden I went “uh oh” and I was unsteady on my feet and feeling decidedly top heavy (not in that way… perv). I had the spins so bad it felt like I was recuperating from a night of heavy drinking.

I managed to (cautiously) make my way home where I proceeded to lie on the couch and wait for Kristian to get home. Figuring that I was just hungry (my stomach was making verbal cues that said “feed me! feed me now!”), he made me dinner in the hopes that I would feel better. Alas, the spins did not go away.

If this makes any sense, I realized that I was so congested that I hadn’t realized that congestion was what was suddenly causing me to walk like Mel Gibson after a night on the town. My nose, ears and all the passages in between were literally so impacted that it just made my head feel heavy without that usual feeling of “there is crap in here.” With no part of my head feeling clear, there was nothing to show that the other parts were stuffed up by comparison.

I put my head over a bowl of water that Kristian boiled for me and I suddenly realized that I could hear. I yawned and my ears popped. I blew my nose and I could feel the sides of my nose opening up.

I still feel like total shit, and I’m still dizzy… but it’s nice to know that there is a simple (and relatively harmless) reason for why I feel the way that I do right now.

Hopefully things will be clearer by this weekend. I want to see my nephew again, but I don’t want to expose him to any germs!
