Over the weekend, the University’s LAN group deleted my email account and then recreated it (apparently they managed to back everything up first). They had to do this because my account somehow got corrupted over a month ago and was throwing up all kinds of errors and was probably on the verge of taking out the University’s entire email system. I guess that would have been a bad thing.
This morning I had to delete my Outlook profile and then recreate it. Outlook is now downloading three years worth of email. I get a lot of email. To say that this is a long and tedious process would be like Katrina caused a few problems down in New Orleans. I have over 70 new emails in my inbox and I can’t read any of them. I’ve been trying for the past 15 minutes to send one email. Outlook hangs about every 27 seconds.Â
I’d like to take it as a sign that I should spend my birthday slacking. But I’m a little nervous that my inability to get into my calendar is going to cause me to miss appointments.Â
Whoops.
ugh, I hate seeing that unread mail number! I think outlook hanging is just a normal day with outlook. Fun!
If you missed a meeting you could blame it on IT ;). Always works when my users do it!
