Our Little Stinker

Our friend Scott posted some sneak peek photos from our family portrait session on Sunday. I am stoked.

There’s even a family portrait where I don’t look too terrible. Too terrible.

Today, I brought Lilian over to my Mom’s house and she spent a few hours with my Mom and Step-Dad while I went to a local café and worked on my thesis. I have to go back to work on Monday (sob!), so it was one last trial run. I think Lilian did better than I did. In fact, I know that Lilian did better than I did. Isn’t that the way it always goes? I think it’s usually harder on moms than it is on babies.

I had  a mini meltdown this morning and sobbed to Kristian that I didn’t want to put my baby in daycare. And then Lilian had a major meltdown because she woke up too early from her nap and couldn’t understand why she felt so tired when she couldn’t fall back asleep. And then Kristian looked at me like I was a crazy person for wanting more of that meltdown action.

What can I say? I’m crazy like that.

(Crazy like a fox!)

It’s going to be hard to start working again, but I think it will be a little easier with a garlicky photo of my little stinker to put in my cubicle.
