It’s been one of those days. You know those days. The kind of day where you oversleep by about an hour and a half (bye-bye OT from last night, because I was late this morning), you have to walk to work in the rain with no umbrella (smart me, I left mine in the office yesterday) and you don’t pack a big enough lunch and you end up starving by 1:30. The kind of day where you realize that all of the above things are completely and utterly your fault and nobody elses and yet you are still convinced that the universe is out to get you. Because, the universe? It hates me today.
So, yeah, I’m pissy. And attempting to avoid the general public. Which, of course, means that people have been in and out of our office all day.
The following people annoy me today and are hereby put on official notice:
- People who talk on their cellphones at the gym. Your ring-tone is annoying, you let it go ring and ring and ring for far too long and then you assaulted my ear drums with your inane whining. My adrenaline is already up, do you really want to push me? I would have shoved that phone up your nose but it never would have fit. Rhinoplasty, for the win.
- People who call to find out if you’ve received their fax, as the fax is printing out in your machine. Why can’t you trust me to do my job before you start breathing down my neck? I have always responded to your faxes. I don’t have a known history of shredding your faxes. Why should today be any different? And you didn’t even include the correct information in it, so I had to call you back. Grr.
- People who attempt to tell you how to do your job without making any effort to do their own. As soon as your end users stop complaining to me about how they can never get any help, I’d be happy to entertain some of your suggestions. That’s a lie, your suggestions are asinine. Why don’t you just leave me alone and take away the temptation to beat you with a laptop.
- People who make long, ranty posts in bullet-point format. :p
There, that felt good. Now to go raid the vending machine so as to continue being my usual, smiling, polite self to all of the people who annoy me!

Seriously, the entire internet seems to be pissy today, and I kind of like it. I fully support shoving phones up noses, laptop beatings, and this post!
