I gave Jen(nie) her quilt last weekend. So, I’m now free to share these pictures with you. I know I always say that every new quilt that I work on is my favorite. But this one really is my favorite. I mean it this time. I swear.
(Ok, so technically it’s peanut’s quilt).
As you can see, Jen(nie) loved it!
This is probably the most complicated quilt that I’ve made so far. Those tiny little triangles almost made me go cross-eyed. Luckily, I was able to do some strip piecing for the rectangular sections. So, it didn’t really take much longer than most of the other quilts that I made. Unless Jen(nie) is reading this. In which case, it took hours. Hours and hours and hours.
(That’s not much of a stretch)
(All of my quilts take hours upon hours upon dozens of hours)
(Quilting is not a hobby for people with no free time)
(And yet, I continue to make quilts)
I’d like to say that I’m now resting on my laurels. But, I have two quilts to make from scratch and two quilts to finish up. The two quilts in progress may or may not be two years over-due.
On that note, off to the sewing machine with me!
I love this! I love the Beatrix Potter idea.
That’s Bea-utiful!
That is so impressive. My fiancee’s grandmother cranks out quilts like you and I honestly can’t get over how much talent, patience and creativity that is required to make such beautiful quilts.
Gorgeous!
I had Peter Rabbit EVERYTHING growing up!
(Truth be told, he’s still in a bin under my bed… just in case.)
awesome. and extra points for coordinating your outfit with the quilt when you gave it to jennie!
