My Uncle just turned 60. To celebrate, my family (well, those of us who were available) took a lunch cruise around Sesuit Harbor on Cape Cod. Highlights of the day involved my foolish decision to wear a flow-y skirt on a boat, a bunch of old leches apparently checking my legs out when said flow-y skirt pulled a Marilyn Monroe on me (thanks for pointing it out mom!) and my Uncle referring to my Grandmother as a slut.
I believe that slut was used as a term of endearment. You can never quite tell in my family.
The flickr photo set is here.
The cruise was on Sunday, but Kristian and I decided to make a weekend of it and we drove down to visit some friends in Bourne on Saturday. We spent the night in a tiny cabin with no running water or electricity. It was awesome. Kristian was not so thrilled about the lack of showers, but I just jumped into one of the ponds on the property. I didn’t think that I stunk…
I’m leaving tonight for eight days in California. I’m going to spend some time with my sister and work on my relaxing at the beach skills. Theoretically I will have lots of time to update my blog, but most of the posts will probably reading something along the lines of “Today I slept in. I had a smoothie. I’m a lot more tan than I was yesterday.”
Can’t wait!
