Happy Black Friday!

Happy black friday, everyone!

We’ve gone nowhere near a mall, outlet or big box store today. The closest we got was a failed attempt to buy some apples at a farm stand.

Mostly, we’ve been hanging out and watching movies. This has been a bit of a conflict, however. My Dad? Likes to watch movies about the banality of life. Movies that should come with a free bottle of Prozak and/or Xanax. My sister and I? Wanted to watch Iron Man.

Luckily, there are two of us and one of him. Also, we fight dirty. So, Iron Man it was. But, we’re running out of comedies. So far, we’ve watched Iron Man, Funny People, Star Trek, Adventureland and Hangmen Also Die. Guess who picked that last one? Eventually, we’re going to have to watch something that is going to make us cry.

What can I say? I like my books depressing and my movies fluffy. My Dad just likes to be reminded that life is suffering.

What have you been up to today?

  1. How was Funny People?

Adventureland was less funny than I expected. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t the stupid-funny movie I was expecting.

  2. Hope

Funny People was both dark and hilarious. I went into it expecting dark and was pleasantly surprised at how hilarious it was. I also wasn’t blown away by Adventureland, but I thought it was fairly decent.
