A Crafty Contest!

I’ve decided that I want to start making some baby onesies to sell on Etsy. I’ve also decided that cupcakes and rubber duckies are overdone. So, I need to come up with some awesome ideas for onesies that would be both cute and fun.

I would be doing these using applique, so simpler is best. But, I’m willing to put in a little more work if the idea is awesome.

I have a few ideas of my own, but I’d like to take advantage of crowd-sourcing for some additional ideas. Call me lazy if you will, I’m calling me smart! I’m going to take advantage of your delicious brains gather ideas in the form of a contest.

The rules are as follows:

  1. You can enter the contest by leaving a comment on this here blog entry. Enter as many times as you like.
  2. I will pick the top three ideas and those will be the winners. The prize will be a onesie of your choice (from any of the top three). If you don’t have a baby, know any babies or just plain hate babies, I will make you a pillowcase (or something of equivalent difficulty) instead.
  3. Additionally, I will be picking a winner at random from all of the comments on this entry. This winner will get a onesie or pillowcase of their choice from the winning entries.
  4. If you’d like extra chances to win, I will give you two entries in the contest if you blog or tweet about the contest. Be sure to leave a comment or send me an email to let me know that you blogged or tweeted!
  5. If I get enough entries that I end up using more than three ideas, anyone whose suggestion that I use will be given a onesie or pillowcase of their choice from the winning entries.
  6. The contest will run between now and 6pm on Tuesday, November 24th.
  7. I will post the winners (and the equivalent onesies) on Tuesday, December 1st.

If you have any doubt about my skillz, check out this quilt I made:
