Today is the day that you’re supposed to shed your comfortable anonymity and let me know that there are more people reading this blog than the five people who routinely leave comments.
Or, you know, maybe there really are only five people reading this blog. In which case, it’s my job to remember that I don’t take this blog all that seriously and to not allow myself to drown my sorrows in cupcakes.
I try to comment on most of the blogs that I read. But, I must admit to often nodding my head in agreement and then closing the browser window. Especially with some of the more popular blogs where I think, “They already have 172 comments. Do I really have anything all that interesting to say? They probably don’t even read all of their comments.” So, if I only leave the occasional comment on your blog, rest assured that I am most assuredly reading all of your entries. And I’ll try to leave more comments.
This blog reading stuff is serious business.
So, if you like reading this blog but you never had anything that you wanted to say to me, why not just leave a little comment and say hi. Tomorrow, you can go back to reading in silence and I’ll go back to assuming that this blog is read by my Mom and a few friends.
Speaking of my Mom, I finally managed to convince her that she should turn comments on at her blog. She’s working on an upgrade, but I’ll let y’all know when it’s time to head over there and give her some love.

I can’t recall if I’ve commented on any of your stuff before or not. I usually am the one that agrees or nods my head and closes that browser window as well.
Though I do get very close to posting something when you have pictures up. But then I convince myself that you don’t need some random guy online to tell you that you’re cute, right? That’s what the SO is for…
