Instant Gratification, Even If Delayed, Is Still Very Sweet

Ahhhhhhhh….

That is the sound of me breathing a sigh of relief.

I don’t know if it was the fact that they feared the wrath of my handful of blog readers or if they are just not the horrible, monolithic corporation that I thought that they were… but amazon.com did right by me. Hooray!

It’s not that often that I admit that I was wrong. Because, duh, I’m so rarely wrong (ha!). But, this one was totally my fault. It turns out that you can be forced to wait over a month for your books if you have one book in the order that won’t be available for a month. When you’re cheap like me and use the free shipping, they make you wait until everything is available.

But, the helpful customer service people sensed my homicidal-like tendencies at being forced to wait (oh the horror!) for my stuff. They shipped my items as they became available (the option that I thought that I had chosen but which is apparently not available when you use the free shipping option). And, they didn’t charge me any extra for making the switch for me.

So, the moral of the story is that watching all that tv made me even stupider than I thought and that amazon.com is not as evil as I made them out to be. Oops.

I would say that I feel like a jerk.
