The Devil Wears Prada and I Want New Shoes

I saw “The Devil Wears Prada” with my mom yesterday. I thought that it was fabulous. It was totally a fluffy, Hollywood film… but it was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. I found the experience somewhat akin to an episode of Cosmo come to life on the big screen. It didn’t make me think too much, I laughed a lot and I left the theater wishing that I could shed about 10 pounds (scarfing down movie-sized containers of Milk Duds and Snickers Bites with my Mom probably didn’t help on that front).

I did find myself both loving all of the fashion and simultaneously lusting after all of the main characters shoes. But, honestly, I am too accident prone to wear stilettos and they really aren’t all that practical for a job that requires me to climb under desks and plug in wires. I do have one pair of truly amazing pink, sparkly stilettos that Vicki gave me. But, so far, I haven’t had an occasion to wear them. Note to Kristian: please take me somewhere that I can wear my pretty pink shoes. Now. Dammit. (please?)

I’ve got a post about this past weekend percolating in the back of my head. Please enjoy this picture of me being molestered by a giant lobster as proof that there will be a fun post with lots of photos. Including a photo of a giant hot dog wearing sneakers. You have been warned.
