Cult Movies

Dustin set today’s blog off topic and it’s cult movies. He randomly chose to talk about my favorite cult movie of all time. Namely, Empire Records.

What’s not to love?

Renee Zellwiger before she got all crazy and beak lipped. Ethan Embry before he got all bald and creepy looking. A kick ass soundtrack. And Rex Manning!

(Oh Rexxie, you’re so sexxy)

(You know you’re a nerd when you use your iPhone at a party to blog)

(If only the wordpress app had a word count feature)

I think that my sisters and I must have seen Empire Records about half a bizzillion times. Seriously. I can still probably quote it word for word.

“Well Sinead O’Rebellion. Shock me shock me shock me with that deviant behavior.”

My sisters and I had a tendency to find a movie that we liked and then watch it over and over and over again. And over again. Empire Records was just one overplayed movie in a long list of overplayed movies in the Roth household. I’m actually quite surprised that we never wore out any VHS tapes.

Still we had nothing on a foster sister who watched an Adam Sandler movie every night. And she only had three of them (The Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison). To this day, I hear the sound of Adam Sandler’s voice and I curl into the fetal position.

What is your favorite cult movie?
