I still need to master it, but the meat and potatoes of my album is done. How did that happen? I mean, I know how that happened, but it still blows my mind. This album was eight years in the making and it’s just a little bit difficult to wrap my brain around the fact that we really made it happen.
I need to figure out the best possible way to make this happen, but I’ll be offering this bad boy up for pre-sale, hopefully sometime next week. As a thank you to anyone who does decide to buy their copy in advance, I will autograph any pre-sale copies. That’s a fantastic incentive, right?
Along with selling the album, I realized that it’s pretty damn silly of me to not have any merchandise. I mean, hello, my Dad owns a t-shirt printing company. If you can’t exploit your family ties for cheap merch, then what good are they? Except for all of that unconditional love and fun business, of course.
Love is good. Cheap swag is also pretty fantastic.Â
This is where you fine folks come in. I need merchandise, but it’s pretty hard to make it when you don’t have the faintest idea what should go on it. I’m thinking that blank t-shirts probably won’t be a popular item. Just a guess.
I have a graphic designer who is working on my album artwork and I could probably make something on my own if I needed to. I just need a concept. Something clever. Something fitting. Something that won’t scare people (that means that this photo is totally out). I was thinking something along the lines of “Hope Fiend” but that seems just a little too egotistical, even for me.
So what say you, internets? Leave your suggestions in the comments. If I pick yours, I’ll make sure that you get a free copy of whatever it is that I end up making (t-shirts, stickers, pink fuzzy thongs, whatever). And, what the hey, I’ll toss in a free autographed copy of the CD as well.
Thanks in advance!
Hope Fiend (with a picture of you with devil horns AND a halo – you should be giving a saintly yet devious look…) actually seems like an awesome idea!
