No, Kristian and I aren’t getting married. At least not any time soon. But we are leaving tomorrow for Rochester, NY where my cousin is getting married. I’m a bridesmaid. I promise many pictures of me in my purple dress and up-do when we get back. I’m bringing along a little ninja that a friend crocheted for me, so there might be some fun pictures of my ninja hanging out.
We seem to have reached a point in our lives when all of our friends and family are getting hitched. We’ve already been to three weddings this year and we have three more between now and November. That’s not counting the weddings that we’re missing because they were double booked with other weddings. That’s a lot of opportunities to choose between the chicken and the fish! (or, in my case, vegetarian)
I enjoy going to weddings, because they’re a chance to dress up in a fun outfit and dance my little tuckus off. Kristian? Not so much. I don’t think that he’s a big fan of ties (who would be?) and he hates dancing. I’m guessing that weddings rank somewhere between getting a root canal and scrubbing the toilets. They don’t require novocain, but they don’t make the bathroom all sparkly clean. At least he gets a gets a decent meal and some cake out of it.
And, you know, the chance to see our friends and loved ones pledge their ever-lasting love to each other.

Just wait till everyone starts having babies! At least Kristian won’t have to go to baby showers! Oh, and when people assumed Jeff and I were married, I’d make a horible face and say something along the lines of “back that bus up, we are sooo not married”. Not flattering to him, but it did get the point across!
