One Down, One to Go

I finished my midterm this morning. Well, I mostly finished my midterm this morning. If you count scratching out some illegible text when the teacher says “time’s up,” then yes, I finished my midterm this morning.

As he was handing out our midterms, the professor said “Good thing the World Series starts tonight, so you can watch it.” My classmates laughed. Most of them are from other countries. Somehow I don’t think that they give a #$@ about the Red Sox. Luckily for me, I only have a little thing called the GREs tomorrow. Also, luckily for me, I consider watching baseball to be studying, as long as I have a study guide somewhere in my immediate vicinity. “Somewhere in the house” counts as immediate vicinity.

My friend Liza is bringing over tibetan food tonight and we are going to watch Tim Gunn’s guide to style and then watch the game. I promised myself to use as many big words as possible and to do any math that I might encounter in my head.

I took the day off for tomorrow. So, I’ll be sleeping in, going for a run, having a nice breakfast and then I’ll be reading up on probability and exponents. These are all necessary steps on the road towards the GREs. Breakfast, I feel, is especially important.

They give you your math and verbal scores at the end of the test. I’ll update tomorrow night!

  1. I like to think learning by osmosis is possible, so watching the game totally counts as studying.

Plus, you deserve a little break. No reason to stress yourself out the night before the test!

Good luck Hope! Hope you ace your GRE like Beckett did to the Rockies. šŸ™‚
