Bedazzler + Slippers = Awesome.

So, I was bored and looking for an inspiration for a blog post and I decided to look through my flickr photo stream. Nothing makes an entry more interesting than a few funny photos. Nothing takes up space on a page like photos either.

I was scrolling through my photo stream and I noticed that this photo had been favorited. “That’s odd,” I thought, “who would favorite a badly composed, incorrectly exposed, camera phone photo of my slipper socks?” Well, I clicked to see who had favorited my photo and, lo and behold, the person’s favorites were all pictures of slippers, socks and slipper socks.

Hands up everyone who didn’t see that one coming. You all win a prize* for being just as clueless as I am.

I would like to say that a) there are a lot of cute slippers out there (including these which I wouldn’t mind owning a pair of and b) I’m not sure quite why a person would favorite 351 photos of slippers.

Perhaps I should ask this person, but I’m not quite sure how I would word the email…

Dear person who apparently likes my slipper socks just as much as I do,

I see that you have marked 351 pairs of slippers as favorites on flickr. I just have one question for you. Are you

a) a slipper designer
b) a connoisseur of soft, comfortable footwear
c) a foot fetishist, or,
d) all of the above.

Inquiring minds would really like to know. I also notice that you have favorited many pictures of women wearing slippers on their wedding day. Is this a common occurrence? Do women really spend a small fortune on pouffy, white wedding dresses only to wear granny slippers underneath? Is it possible to get bedazzled slippers? Are bedazzled slippers considered to be evening wear.

Enquiring minds would like to know.

Sincerely,
Me.

*Prize not redeemable for any actual prizes.

  1. Even quirkier? A photo of my FEET (which I thought was random and impulsive, my feet! how hilarious to post!) has been favorited, and, apparently, ALL that person’s favorites are of feet.

    Ew.

Run, don’t walk, as fast as you can.

    Bad pun, and so unintentional.

    Sorry.

    P.S. Nice slippers!
