It’s cold and it’s only going to get colder. I was late for work because I couldn’t drag my sorry ass out of bed (note to my boss who reads this: I made up the time. I promise!). I’m just glad that it hasn’t started raining yet, because otherwise I would be hiding under the covers and not posting here.<\/p>\n
Kristian and I have gone into hunkering down mode. We’re canning up a storm and the house smells delicious. So far we’ve canned some peach jam and I’ve got some peach chutney stewing on the stove. Some applesauce is not too far into the future.<\/p>\n
I love it when the house gets all cozy and warm. It’s just us and the kitties and a stove full of things simmering. I made apple\/peach crisp last night and I’ll probably make some chowder this weekend.<\/p>\n
