And I really have no reason to be grumpy. Because I loved my training session and I got another free dinner and my hotel room gets the NFL Network so I get to watch the Pats game tonight. And, really, my reason for being grumpy is ever so stupid.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m grumpy because my training finished a day early and I have the day to myself tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Please try and contain your laughter long enough for me to explain myself.<\/p>\n<p>Seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Stop laughing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please?<\/p>\n<p>Nerd that I am, I was really enjoying the class. And I wanted another day to practice programing and to play around with their fun equipment \u00a0and just generally geek it up. \u00a0I should be cheered up at the prospect of a day in DC to myself. And I am. Sortof. But I have the following issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I was planning on taking a plane down, sitting in a classroom for three days and then flying back up. As a result, I didn&#8217;t bother to pack walking shoes.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s going to rain.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m twelve miles from the nearest Metro station and I don&#8217;t have a car.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m not such a fan of sight-seeing on my own.<\/li>\n<li>Did I mention that it&#8217;s going to rain?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Sure, I could spend the day in my hotel but that&#8217;s just lame and depressing.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ok, I know, waah waah waah call the waaahmublance. There are worse things in life than having a free day in a fun city. Root canals, bankruptcy and listening to Celine Dion come to mind. And, really, I&#8217;m not feeling irritated as much as I&#8217;m nervous about how I&#8217;m going to get myself to somewhere fun\u00a0tomorrow. And I&#8217;ll get over it.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I just needed to vent a little.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>Am I the only crazy idiot who would rather spend a day learning something cool than sightseeing alone?<\/em><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, I&#8217;m feeling grumpy.
