We knew that she had a growth in her lungs, but were hoping for something more benign. Well, the biopsy came back and it&#8217;s the Big C. I don&#8217;t know the prognosis, but I do know that it&#8217;s treatable. Not curable, but treatable. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been in a weird place this week. I knew that my Grandmother was sick, but was still hoping that it was something else. It&#8217;s somewhat odd to be hoping for your Grandmother to have TB, but I just wanted it so badly for it to not be cancer. I liked it better when we didn&#8217;t know, because then I could pretend that everything was fine. Now that we <i>do<\/i> know, I&#8217;m not happy&#8230; but I was glad to talk to her this morning and to hear that she is in good spirits. <\/p>\n<p>Here is my grandmother holding her great-grandson (my nephew). I hope that she is able to fight this and to be around long enough for him to remember her.
