Jenn(ie)<\/a> gets here tomorrow! Yay!<\/p>\n

Ummm, Jenn(ie)? Our house? Is a little messy right now. Ok. A lot messy.<\/p>\n

Sorry about that. But I did<\/em> clean the bathroom and the guest room.<\/p>\n

Anyhoo, the reason that Jen(ie) is coming to town is that its our ten year high school reunion. Ten years? That’s madness. I don’t feel old enough to have done anything\u00a0significant\u00a0ten years ago. But, they gave me a diploma, so it must have happened.\u00a0At least I’m not old enough to start contemplating taking a bottle of white-out and a sharpie to the date on it.<\/p>\n

Yet.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure how I feel about this reunion business. I enjoyed high school. I had good friends, a lot of fun, got a great education. I’m not one of those people who looks back at high school as four years of hell.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So why am I so nervous?<\/p>\n

Perhaps it has something to do with some extra padding that I’m toting around these days. Perhaps it has something to do with an inherent inferiority complex.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Perhaps I’ve just seen too many movies and TV shows about reunions. Everyone always seems to vaguely dread these things and worry about going back and impressing people.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At least I don’t have to worry about pulling a Grosse Pointe Blank and being sent to kill my former girlfriend’s Dad. I never dated any girls in high school. And, as far as I know, I’ve never been hired to kill anyone.<\/p>\n
