Let me back this one up a bit and explain it…<\/p>\n
Last night, Kristian and I were making dinner and he started to load the dishwasher. I was chopping onions and not really paying attention to what Kristian was doing. Then I went to throw the onion peels out. I think that we can all see where this is going. Unfortunately, I wasn’t really paying attention to where my shin was going… namely right into the dishwasher door. <\/p>\n
Like I said… Ouch.<\/p>\n
I smashed right into it with my shin, then flew forward and smashed my knee, my elbow and my forearm. I then curled up in a ball on the floor and cried like a little girl. I swear to god it was just an aftereffect from the onions. Those goddamn onions. Kristian came over to see why in the hell I was hurtling myself onto the dishwasher and all I could do was blubber that I still needed to throw the onion peels out.<\/p>\n
Luckily Kristian values the health and happiness of his girlfriend a whole hell of a lot more than he cares about a little bit of trash on his kitchen floor. After letting me lie on the floor for a couple of minutes clutching my knee and whining like a soccer player, he made me drop the onion peels and go lie down on the couch. And I would like to state for the record that he was right there on the floor with me, rubbing my shoulders and trying to make sure that I hadn’t broken anything.<\/p>\n
You know you’ve done a real number on yourself when you have more body parts bruised than you have icepacks. <\/p>\n
I spent the rest of the night lying on the couch and moaning piteously. Well, not really. I spent the rest of the night lying on the couch, watching tivo\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d episodes of CSI and moaning piteously. Kristian was a good sport about it. The best, really. There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nothing that I can say about the way that he treats me that won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t give all of you diabetes. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m serious. That boy is the best. Now if I could only train myself to stop walking into things, we wouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get into situations like last night. \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n
Oh oh. The best part? Was when I took a shortcut to work this morning, which involved hopping over a small fence, and well\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 we all know where this one is going\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 I banged that exact same knee. I am officially the most accident-prone person I know. Someone please wrap me up in bubble wrap before I really do fall down the stairs. Or walk into a door. <\/p>\n
Actually, no. The real best part? Is that the dishwasher was having some problems. Namely that the door was slightly askew. Not anymore, baby. I smashed that sucker right back into place. With my shin. Kristian says it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s never closed so well.<\/p>\n
