Tabitha seems to be doing fine for now. I still haven’t received a cost estimate from the vet, which means that I’m definitely not buying the sandals that I considered buying the other day. Until someone tells me otherwise, I’m going to assume that everything is sunshine and roses. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I realized today that I am so far behind on posting photos, it borders on the ridiculous. One of the trips that I still need to edit and upload occurred when a friend was newly pregnant. She has subsequently given birth, full term and everything. Basically, you could cook a baby (in your uterus please, not in my calphalon!) in better time than I can post-process.
I know that looking at vacation photos used to be considered a form of cruel and unusual punishment, but I choose to believe that you all wait anxiously and expectantly for me to bestow my photographic documentation on you. As far as delusions go, this one ranks somewhere between “I might win the lottery” and “I am the one and only Queen of Siam.”
Please allow me to distract you from my procrastination and navel gazing with cute pictures of my niece and nephew. These photos are 100% guaranteed to make your ovaries hurt. If you’re male? Well, I’m sorry, but you just grew some ovaries. I hope that your spleen and appendix don’t feel too crowded.
My nephew still loves the cape that I made for him. Why wouldn’t he? It’s totally awesome. I kindof want to make one for myself.
All of the best aunties bring monkey stickers with them when they visit. It’s the only way to travel.
Not only did I bring D to the zoo, I also bought him ice cream. And then I bought him candy. Because I enjoy messing with his blood sugar and then returning him to his parents. I may or may not be a sociopath.
If D had a favorite aunt, at this moment in time (post ice cream sugar high, pre blood sugar crash) it would be me. Which means I WIN. Neener. Neener. Neener.
Ruby is now eating real food. Someone really needs to tell her that she’s not allowed to keep getting bigger like this when I’m so awfully far away.
We took a walk on the Highline. If you have an opportunity to check it out, I would highly recommend it.
“That’s right, kid. You are in for a lifetime of disappointment as a Mets fan. Just be glad that your Dad didn’t raise you to root for the Detroit Lions.”
Yes, my niece is ridonculously cute. Especially in this little outfit that I bought for her. Management is not responsible for any damages resulting from exploded ovaries.
“I shall nom nom nom your soul!!!”
Anybody want to buy a homemade quilt? Adorable baby not included.
So, there you have it. The finest sites that New York City has to offer. At least to me. More pictures here.

That is an adorable baby! I also miss my nephews.
Aww, they’re both so cute! I love the pic of your nephew in the baseball cap! Looks like ya’ll had fun ^_^
I LOVE being an Aunt. I just returned from the boondocks in NY State where I visited my sister and fed the three year old frosting, cake, cookies and other goodies (and then I heard about it from my sister all afternoon during his birthday party when he WOULDN’T CALM DOWN). And when I took the nephews to the park, I let the 9 month old eat leaves. They love me.
