It Was the Best of Times, It Was the Blurst of Times

First of all, hooray for me, I finished NaBloPoMo!

I have an annual tradition that I’m not so proud of. Basically, I post every day in November… and then I disappear for a couple of months. Not cool. So? I decided to join the Best of 2009 Blog Challenge. Because Elisa is doing it. And because I am a sucker for a challenge.

And a glutton for punishment.

The challenge? Write every day about your favorite moments from 2009. There’s a question for every day. Today’s question is, what is your favorite trip from 2009?

First of all, I would like to say how lucky I am that I have more than one trip to choose from. And that it’s so damn hard to choose. I mean, any year where you get to spend time in NYC, Washington DC, New Orleans, France and the UK is a pretty damn good year. Not to mention my exciting trip to Denver, CO where I saw not one, but two office parks.

If you put a gun to my head and asked me to choose one trip, I would say, “Why are you putting a gun to my head and asking me that? Why don’t you take my wallet?! Here’s my iPhone, I don’t want to die.” And then I would pee myself and tell you that, while New Orleans is always amazing, going to Talloires, France for three weeks was pretty much the bees’ knees.

I mean, I got paid to be there.

We got to go paraponting.

The weather was perfect.

The cheese was delicious.

As was the chocolate. And the wine. And pretty much everything I ate while I was there.

Best. Trip. Ever.*

  1. I would love to travel more. Sadly, I get a lot of flight anxiety, but I’m working on that!
